No, this isn’t necessary when you install a security relied vent in your home. This means you can safely leave your Breezair Evaporative Cooling system operating without having to leave your windows and doors open. Plus as it releases cool air into the roof space, your home also stays cooler for longer.

Yes, cooling pads can be cleaned yourself. They’re one of the most vital components of an evaporative system, so keeping them clean is important.

1)  You’ve removed the pads from the unit, shake them out like you’re shaking a rug, as this will help loosen up any foreign matter.

2) Examine the pads for instructions to find which sides are front and back.

3) Backwash the pads by hosing them down, starting from the back and moving to the front.

4) Force debris through the pads by following the grooves on the side. If you find that the debris isn’t coming off, the pads may require replacement.
